BSL interpreters needed!

Do you want to work with students in a higher education setting?

Do you want to work in a convenient location where your clients will be found in one area?

With Randstad Student Support, you can help students with disabilities achieve their potential, and succeed during their time at university. We are searching for experienced, flexible and committed BSL interpreters to support our students throughout their learner journey.

Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester

Benefits:

Responsibilities:



* You will attend lectures/seminars and will interpret from English to BSL or vice versa
* You will use your skills and knowledge of BSL and English and your understanding of the differences between the two, in order to receive information in one language and pass it on in another
* You will need to manage your own time and case load

Requirements:

Essential:



* Qualification in an NRCPD approved course for sign language interpreters or interpreters for deafblind people from the list at Appendix 1 extracted from NRCPD website OR



* CACDP RQSLI exam OR



* VLP/SASLI/RBSLI/NRCPD registered Sign Language Interpreter OR



* VLP/SASLI/RBSLI/NRCPD registered trainee sign language interpreter OR



* NRCPD registered Interpreter for Deafblind People

Desirable:



* Experience of supporting students in a higher education setting
