Business Development Manager

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a global provider of SaaS solutions has become available.

The role will be London based and requires an experienced sales professionals to sell our clients highly successful and sophisticated enterprise SaaS solutions to private and public sector organisations across the UK and wider afield.

The main responsibilities include:

*Identify, qualify and pursue sales prospects as directed by the General Manager and within the defined Plan. Including, but not limited to:
*Identify suitable sales prospects within defined strategic guidance - articulate need and recommend appropriate platform and tactics to GM.
*Define, shortlist and engage with senior prospect management in order to confirm approach and functionality.
*Identify prospective partners and recommend joint prospect development.
*Provide regular sales reporting information to GM via Salesforce and as part of the standard pipeline / account reviews.
*Follow sales procedures and escalate as appropriate, to ensure the sales pipeline is accurate and a full picture of activates is available to corporate.
*Liaise with marketing and legal to ensure a joined up and consistent approach on lead generation through to contract negotiation.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:

* Degree level and significant UK OEM/Software sales experience is preferred.
* Strategic thinker, with outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
* Influencer and networker.
* Excellent at execution: good programme, change and time management skills.
* Strong leadership skills, which will be essential for leading external partners, where encouragement rather than instruction is necessary.
* An understanding of the issues facing a modern large and complex organisation and the procurement processes involved in acquiring business systems.
* An understanding of the ERP and/or Force Generation, Workforce Optimisation, Scheduling and Equipment Management is highly desirable.
* Although there are resources to provide support to the incumbent, there will be frequent circumstances when it will be appropriate to explain and demonstrate the system to a prospective user. Therefore, the ability to use and demonstrate software and present it alone (after training) will be a significant asset.
* Evidence of closing £m deals and dealing with all levels.
