Secondary Business Studies and Economics Teacher (to IBDP level)
Start Date: January 2019
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Region: Far East and South East Asia
Curriculum: Australian / IBDP (Secondary Campus)
Experience required: 5+ years
Sponsorship: Single or Married with tuition for up to 4 dependent children
Salary: From $3500 - $5800 AUD per month
Contract: 12 months

School Overview: This is a multi-campus school offering Australian standard education in Jakarta and Bali. With over 700 students, their three well-resourced campuses offer Preschool to Year 12 classes with specialist support for students with learning difficulties, limited English language proficiency or physical disabilities. Based on the Australian Curriculum and best teaching practise, the academic program is designed to form a solid foundation from which young people may reach their potential and enter the world as confident and compassionate global citizens. School graduates attend leading universities around the world, including Australia, Southeast Asia, England and North America.

Campus Overview: This Secondary Campus is located in South Jakarta in a stately mansion with multiple facilities. It offers a stimulating Australian curriculum along with a range of exciting opportunities for students from Year 7 to 12, since 2015 this campus has also been authorised to teach the IB Diploma Programme to Year 11 and 12 students. Students at this campus are encouraged to maximise their potential, explore possibilities and take responsibility for their learning. Each student's development is guided by experienced staff working closely in partnership with the student's parents. Counsellors, subject and homeroom teachers provide support and encouragement in the process of working through personal interests, making course selections and career choices.

Requirements:



* Will need to be able to teach either Humanities or English across all secondary grades (7-10).
* Experience teaching the IBDP Business Studies and Economics is required, along with a willingness to undertake IB Diploma training courses.

You must have at least 5 years teaching experience with a BEd in Education or equivalent. Previous experience with Australian curriculum is an advantage. An inquiry approach to learning is required in Primary classrooms with experience in teaching Global Citizenship programs an advantage for all positions, both Primary and Secondary. Applicants must be committed to inclusive education and be able to demonstrate that commitment. Teachers are expected to differentiate instruction and provide for students who have Learning Support needs and students with EAL needs.
