We will be looking to recruit individuals who have previously worked within a similar setting and therefore have the ability to carry out social work tasks related to assessments, care planning and the development of support packages in order to promote the welfare of children.In return we can offer - Salary - £29,577 - £33,782 (Grade 8)37 hours a week are preferable although applicants who are looking for reduced hours will also be considered.Fantastic pension contributions - 17% £3,000 Golden hello ( upon successfully completing a 6 month probation period).£8,000 Relocation package ( made available to those who don't currently live within the county... this can also be contributed to a rental agreement). To undertake Simple Integrated Assessments and Comprehensive Integrated Assessments in compliance with the Assessment Framework2. To develop care plans and support packages3. To undertake statutory duties in respect of children looked after4. To undertake duties in respect of children on the Child Protection Register5. To undertake duties in respect of other Children In Need6. To undertake care proceedings7. To input data onto Care First8. To undertake any other tasks as required9. To work within the framework of All Wales Child Protection procedures and Pembrokeshire Child Care Procedures.10. When two years post qualified, undertake to qualify and take the role of practice assessor and/or practice facilitator for social work students on placement.Personal specifications - 1. Social work qualification2. 2 years experience post qualification.3. Registration as a social worker with the Care Council for Wales4. A thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software5. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills6. Ability to listen to and communicate sensitively with customers7. To be able to represent the department positively through attitude, role and actions, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to antioppressive practices and equal opportunities8. Experience of child care and related work9. Practical knowledge of the relevant Children Acts, related guidance, and theframework for the assessment of Children In Need and their families.10. Valid driving licence11. Ability to make positive use of supervision12. Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records13. Ability to co-work with colleagues and promote multi-agency working14. Ability to work well in a team setting15.
