Are you experienced in maintenance work or buildings management and would like a pivotal role in your local community?
Do you have experience of being a keyholder and relish the responsibility and challenge this can bring?
A role as a school caretaker in Plymouth might be worth considering!
This exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to work initially on a temporary basis, covering for a sickness absence with the potential going
The successful applicant applying for this role will be able to work to most of the point below -

* Good Health and Safety procedure knowledge
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Maintenance or related degree
* Worked on PFI / Schools / SEN or within a similar environment
* Good team working attitude and skills.
* Self management and good prioritisation skills
* Confidence, Assertive and level headed in all workings
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Excellent team work skills
* Well organised
* Previous experience within a Maintenance role
* Hold a current DBS preferably on the update service.

This is a great opportunity to assist in ensuring the school site is in a clean, tidy and presentable condition at all times and that it provides a safe and secure environment for students, staff, parents and visitors. You will be expected to liaise with staff across the school and provide assistance as problems arise.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Previous experience of working in a similarly responsible site role, preferably within a school
- Ability to relate well to children and adults alike
- A background in general 'handy-work' or DIY would be advantageous
- The willingness to learn and train on the job
- A strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, and a professional and proactive attitude
