A fantastic opportunity for a residential manager with a good or outstanding Ofsted rating or an experienced deputy looking to take the next step that would be interested in working in a very settled service that has consistently had a good ofsted rating for the last 5 years.

This is a great opportunity for an individual that is looking to progress a fantastic team in Essex to help children that require emotional and behavioural support in a 4 bed residential home. This is a full time position with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum dependant on experience and including a bonus structure. This is a chance to join a dynamic team with the opportunity to work for a company that provides support with career progression and training tailored to your needs. The ideal manager would posses an NVQ5 in health and social care and have a good or outstanding rating with Ofsted.

The company are particularly looking for a registered manager with a proven track record that is driven to engage and provide positive support for the young people within the service.

The company compromises of 5 homes that are tailored to support children between the ages of 11 - 17 with emotional behavioural difficulties, to gain independence and important life skills to support their transition into adulthood. With the first placement in a residential home providing full support and the final years of the placement consisting of a cementing the final steps to achieve in dependant living.

Job Purpose -



* Manage the manager to support the team leaders and residential support workers across the service
* Support children who have emotional behavioural difficulties and encourage their independence.
* Supporting children who may require support around the following: Emotional and behavioural difficulties, Drug and alcohol abuse, Broken families and Challenging behaviour
* Helping to build independence
* Working within a team to build and grow the children to take part in daily tasks
* Building bonds with the children to ensure ongoing, personal quality of provision
* Working with children that have extremely complex and significantly disturbed mental health concerns
* Working alongside the youth justice team
* Experience working with the police and service users with tags

Knowledge -



* Understanding of EBD
* Challenging behaviour
* Safeguarding
* Working with varied ages throughout childhood ranging between 8 - 17
* Health and safety
* Awareness of special complex needs
* Relevant statutory legislation
* Commitment to equal opportunities

Experience -



* Experience with challenging behaviour
* Experience supporting and developing a team
* Working with children that have come from a variety of backgrounds such as: family crisis's, drug and alcohol abuse, broken families, sexual compromising.
* Previous experience with challenging behaviour
* Working within a residential/classroom setting
* This job requires a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
