Responsibilities:

Be a positive role model for young people who have lost faith in society and struggle to build healthy relationships. Many of the young people you will be supporting will have suffered from abuse and neglect which has resulted in self-destructive behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to help a young person to flourish at a pivotal moment in their life.


* Helping young people to make positive choices in every aspect of their lives
* Supporting young people with learning difficulties and autism
* Supporting vulnerable children to build healthy relationships
* Documenting challenging behaviour and understanding triggers
* Working long shifts that do include weekends
* Safeguarding and protecting vulnerable young people
* Providing stability and building trust with the children and young people
* Being open to take part in a number of activities

Requirements

* Children experience
* Some form of related qualification (psychology degree)
* Experience with autism or mental health preferred but not essential
