Civil Design Engineer needed by an award winning Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy, specialising in the design of building structures and the associated civil engineering infrastructure.
They currently have a vacancy for a Civil Engineer experienced in the design of below ground drainage and highways works associated with projects ranging from domestic conversions to new build developments with values in excess of £300 million.
They currently have a small inhouse team of civil design engineers with a senior engineer based out of the office. Due to staff wishing to emigrate, they now have a vacancy for an experienced civil engineering designer capable of designing the roads and drainage elements associated with projects across all sectors.
The company have been at the forefront of sustainable developments in the UK and are keen to maintain and enhance our capabilities in this field.
The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of AutoCad, Microdrainage and AutoDesk Civils 3D or similar ground modelling packages.
You will be required to undertake the design and detailing of drainage systems and estate roads up to adoptable standards; the negotiation and completion of the technical aspects of all required Section Agreements for highways and drainage works; the design of Sustainable Urban Drainage systems; compliance with current sustainability requirements; report writing, including Flood Risk Assessments and the supervision of reports and specialist design elements produced by outside consultants.
The candidate should have several years civil engineering design experience, be fully technically proficient and have excellent communication skills. You will be expected to attend meetings for project civil engineering and to provide written reports to clients and senior management.
