A client of mine, an internationally recognised manufacturer of high volume goods is looking for a well rounded, ambitious, electrical maintenance engineer to join their team, this role would suit someone looking for longevity, fantastic earning potential & training/development, all while working a sociable shift pattern. The successful candidate should be a well rounded, electrically biased engineer, with knowledge of PLC fault finding and interrogation (Siemens), programming is not essential but will be seen as a benefit. You must have had experience working in a high volume, FMCG, food, or pharma manufacturing environment dealing with a range of process and packaging equipment.Candidates should hold a relevant electrical or automation based qualification, ideally an apprenticeship, coupled with practical experience. Working as part of a multi-functional & reputable engineering team your objective will be to ensure all process and packaging machinery on site is kept running at minimal downtime.You will do this by attending reactive and planned maintenance tasks, fault finding and repairing on PLC controlled systems. Machinery includes: Granulators, Powder coaters, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compactors, packaging equipment and more. You will provide technical support to production, operations and contractors on site, acting as the go to person for all things engineering on shift.
