Due to continued growth, our client has several opportunities for a motivated and customer focussed Claims Handler on a permanent, full-time basis. They are looking for people who want to join an award winning Company who strongly believes in investing and developing in their people.

Job purpose:

To provide a fast and efficient and accurate claim handling service to the highest of standards for various insurers. We are liability adjusters the role entails dealing with third-party impact damage claims where property has been damaged by a motorist. Training and monitoring will be provided to the successful candidate to become accustomed to the reasonable cost of repairing property and the pricing tool that is available but some knowledge of dealing with first-party property damage claims would be beneficial.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Communicate with the third party via telephone, email and post in an efficient and professional manner.
* Appoint contractors and to update claims on internal systems and make appropriate decisions on validation.
* Manage personal allocation of claims, post and diary work in a timely and efficient manner
* Handle claims in line with client specifications and the appropriate service standards while providing a high level of customer care
* Authorise payments to claimants and supplies for settlement within an agreed delegated authority
* Actively adhere to and promote the principles of treating customers fairly (TCF) and operate within Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines

Skills & Experience

* 5 GCSE's grade A-C including Maths and English
* Willingness to work toward CILA qualification
* IT Literate including a basic understanding of word and excel
* Excellent telephone manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Negotiating skills
* Ability to work to deadlines whilst prioritising workload
* Must be able to work under pressure and on own initiative within the delegated authority.
