Are you keen to embark on a new challenging role within a good Primary School? We are hoping to appoint a Classroom Assistant into a well established primary school in Leeds on a flexible contract basis to start in September 2018, with a view to becoming a permanent post for the right person!

The school is driven by success and is committed to developing its staff and pupils as a whole. They are looking for a hard working, dedicated and passionate classroom assistant to work alongside the Year 3 class teacher to ensure pupils are reaping the fun and rewarding benefits of learning. The role will include:



* Ensuring that teaching materials are ready for use
* Helping the teacher to plan lessons
* Listening to children read out loud
* Teaching children techniques which will help them to improve their reading
* Helping and supporting children who have learning difficulties to complete tasks
* Helping children make displays and putting these displays up around the classroom
* Taking charge of group activities and making sure all students are involved
* Helping teachers to assess the work and providing feedback to the children
* Being involved in planning sports days and extra-curricular activities
* Taking charge of these activities on the day
* Keeping classroom records and notes about the progress of all the children
* Advising and providing support for other classroom assistants

* Good numeracy and literacy skills
