Cleaning Supervisor required on a permanent basis to join a leading FM provider working on a Static school site near Dewsbury.

Job Purpose:



* To provide first line management to cleaning staff to ensure the standard delivered meets the contracted cleaning output specification.
* To ensure all staff work within H&S guidelines.
* Ensure all staff receiving the necessary training.

Aims and Objectives:



* To maintain high standards ensuring client expectation is met.
* Ensure effective management of staff so accidents, incidents and near misses are reduced.
* To monitor sickness and absence in accordance with company policy and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



* Monitoring staff levels to maintain an acceptable and manageable level.
* Organising temporary cover through the Cleaning Manager where needed due to absence.
* Providing cleaning services within the contract budget.
* Monitoring sickness, absence and AWOL with support of the Cleaning Manager.
* Ensuring equipment and consumables are used in an appropriate manner.
* Managing weekly time sheets and absence summary.
* Scheduling deep cleans over school holiday periods.
* Managing Health & Safety issues, accident reporting and near misses.
* Liaising with the Cleaning Manager on a daily basis to keep them informed of all site issues.
* Monitoring staff cleanliness of machinery and cleaning cupboards.
* Submitting cleaning consumables order to the Cleaning Manager for approval.
* Leading and supporting cleaning staff on a daily basis with any issues.
* Monitoring cleaning standards to ensure they are meeting the output specification, and implement changes where this is not being achieved.
* Highlight to the Cleaning Manager any shortfalls in the cleaning service delivery.
* Reporting jobs/issues to the Technical Services Centre as appropriate.
* Monitoring staff training and encouraging employee growth through government sponsored NVQ's and internal training.
* Undertake PDR's for the Cleaning staff.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post as may be reasonably be required.

Qualifications/ Skills:

Essential



* Experience of working in a FM-service delivery environment of contract and service management
* Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Cleaning.
* Management of stock control in line with the financial budget.
* Client orientated.
* Previous Supervisory experience.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable



* Relevant COSHH training.
* BICS qualification.

25 hour working week.

Hours vary between 6am - 6pm.

20 days holiday + bank holiday.

£8.50 per hour.

* Enhanced DBS required - the company will source.
