A well established Contractor of over 50 years expereince is looking for a Commercial Assistant to join their close knit team, directly, on a permanent basis.

You will join a team of 8, supporting the Commercial Team, as well as operation staff.

The ideal candidate will hold 2-3 years' experience working for a Contractor with excellent knowledge on using Microsoft Excel. You will be confident in your approach when dealing with Surveyors holding a strong understanding of the processes and use of Trackers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Dealing with and managing orders to and applications from our approved subcontractors, including liaison with our subcontractors.

* Using Excel on a daily basis, knowing various commands and liaising with the Chief Surveyor.

* Undertaking valuations/claims on the in-house valuation system and contributing to the month end process.

* Ensure accuracy of data entered into cost capture system.

* Checking sub-contractors applications for payment are accurately coded and authorised in line with company policies and procedures.

* Review all information including Compensation Events with the Road Marking Manager and Depot Manager as required and the Managing Quantity Surveyor.

* Dealing with clients' and subcontractors' queries and enquiries Essential Experience

* Knowledge of Construction Industry

* 2-3 years' experience working for a Contractor

* Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Packages specifically Excel

* Confidence in managing and prioritising workload

* A methodical and organised ability to close-out tasks with experience working to tight deadlines
