Role: Commercial Gas Engineer (Mobile)


Commercial Gas Engineer required to join a well established Facilities Maintenance provider in Leeds.

This company was established in the early 90s and has fast built up a strong reputation that positions them as one of the market leaders in providing energy solutions for building services.

They provide an unrivalled level of expertise and service, from planned preventative maintenance works in all types of property from Commercial & Industrial, Leisure and Restaurants, to Education, Residential and Rail sectors right through to reactive situations.

This particular position would include working on Leisure and Residential contracts with the bulk of the travel being in the Yorkshire region with occasional travel to Scotland and Wales.


* BMP1 Boosters, Medium Pressure
* CCN1 core domestic gas safety assessment criteria- ng
* CDGA1 commission service repair & breakdown of commercial direct fired heating appliances & equipment - NG & LPG
* CENWAT install exchange service repair breakdown and commission domestic central heating/hot water boilers,
* CIGA1 commission service repair & breakdown of commercial indirect fired heating appliances & equipment - NG & LPG
* CODNCO1 changeover domestic natural gas to commercial NG
* CONGLP1PD changeover domestic natural gas to domestic LPG - permanent dwellings
* CONGLP1RPH changeover domestic natural gas to domestic LPG - residential park homes
* CORT1 commission service repair & breakdown of gas fired commercial overhead luminous radiant plaque & radiant tube heaters - NG & LPG
* CPA1 combustion performance analysis NG + LPG
* DAH1 install exchange service repair breakdown and commission domestic gas fired ducted air heaters of rated input not exceeding 60kw - NG & LPG
* ICPN1 installation of commercial pipework (first fix) - NG & LPG
* TPCP1A testing & purging of low pressure commercial pipework not exceeding 1m3 in volume, 21 mbar operating pressure - NG


* To support their line manager and the other members of the team in the delivery of the existing FM contracts.
* This will be achieved via the practical implementation of the company's management system and the utilisation of the candidate's knowledge and experience.


The operative shall report to the Maintenance and Servicing manager.


To ensure the satisfactory performance and further development of all tasks for which he/she is responsible including:

* Compliance with contractual requirements.
* Client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
* Responsibility for the undertaking and execution of all operations under their remit and reporting directly to
* Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery
* Ensuring the company systems are implemented in a manner, which fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
* Monitoring and professional oversight of works as directed by their line manager to ensure satisfactory quality levels.
* Developing the competency of themselves through a commitment to continuing professional development.
* To maintain a driving licence to remain mobile allowing travel between sites.


* Salary will be negotiable and agreement will be dependant on qualifications and experience.
* 20 days holidays + bank holidays.
* Hours of work will normally be Mon - Fri: 8am - 5pm although this may be varied from time to time depending on the needs of the company.
* A company van and fuel card will be provided. Travel given at 15 minutes each way and then paid travel.
* Payment for participation in a 24 hour 7 day per week on call service will be made. Call out is 1 in 5/6 - £100 standby paid. Overtime paid at time and a half.
