Job Description:
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial functions of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will play a crucial role in driving profitability and efficiency across our operations, leading a team of quantity surveyors and commercial professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commercial management of multiple housing projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise profitability and efficiency.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage contractual relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports and performance analyses to senior management.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the North East.
