Our repeated triumph marks our ongoing commitment to achieve the highest standards in housebuilding and to deliver excellence as standard.

We have also won a Pride in the Job award every year since we started, including Regional Winner two years in a row and a renowned Seal of Excellence award in 2017.


My client is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to ensure that our business principles of quality and safety are implemented at all times across our developments in Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure the Pre-Start Health & Safety Plan is fully developed prior to site start, in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive Directive
* Ensure the required registers and Site Specific Environmental Action Plan (SSEAP) is produced in accordance with Company Guidelines
* Ensure that the Health & Safety Procedures Manual is complied with, at all times
* Ensure that in the event the Policy is revised, that all Management are aware of this and that they amend their Working Practices as necessary
* Interview Consultants, Sub Contractors and Suppliers, to ensure they are competent, prior to commencing work for the builder.
* Liaise with Safety Consultants, to ensure that monthly safety inspection reports are actioned
* Undertake detailed safety inspections with Site Managers during site visits
* Attend Pre-Planning, Pre-Tender and Pre-Start Meetings, to ensure all necessary construction issues are addressed, prior to commencement on site.
* Ensure all Site Staff receive the requisite Health & Safety Training, in accordance with the Company's Training Matrix

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

* Proven ability to fully manage the construction processes
* Effective at controlling costs throughout the entire build process with a keen eye on waste management
* Excellent customer care skills and can instil within the Site Management Team a culture which encourages continuous improvement
* Monitor all Customer Satisfaction Surveys and Summary Reports, to ensure that trends are recognised, and the appropriate action taken to improve performance
* Demonstrable ability to plan and manage staffing levels, including the recruitment of appropriately qualified and experienced personnel
* Must possess a strong customer focus and have the ability to make decisions effectively
* Leadership and delegations skills are a must for the successful post holder, having the ability to plan ahead.
* Ability to effectively delegate and build strong teams for the delivery of award-winning houses.
