job description

Position for a construction planner for a Dorset based contractor, working in new build, fit-out projects in the retail and education sector.

Projects will range from 50k - 5 million.

Desired experience in working on large multi million pound projects within the main construction industry.

Excellent communication and organisational skills will be a key asset to this role, along with excellent IT skills.

The salary is very competitive, which will reflect the successful candidates experience.

Ensure the efficient running of the contract by effectively managing all technical elements associated with the contract, and to ensure that all information/submissions/approvals with associated documentation are in place to meet quality, safety, cost and programme.

* Make sure that contracts are finished with all relevant approvals as required.
* Liaise and develop the relationship with the design team to ensure good information flow.
* Monitor progress against the design programme.
* Monitor/Audit the construction drawings to ensure the works are correct to the agreed specification.
* Ensure the most effective and efficient use of materials in a design and build contract situation.
* Monitor and support the site teams.


* Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental policy and procedures and support the delivery of policy and standards.
* Monitor quality, safety and environmental systems and promote a safety culture in full support of our Be Safe, Be Green, Be Excellent values.
* Maintain well organised and accurate filing system in line with the company's quality procedures.


* Optimise financial opportunities in all areas.
