Job Title: Consulting Analyst
Salary: Dependent on experience
Location: Dubai (relocation package available)

Our Client is opening a brand new office in Dubai, and are seeking to hire multiple analysts to contribute in the delivery of challenging, exciting international energy consulting engagements and the development of its international consulting practice and client base.

This is an outstanding opportunity for highly intelligent, professional, entrepreneurial, high-initiative, high-integrity candidates. The successful candidate will gain rapid, immersive international business consulting experience, engaging energy sector clients on business strategy, strategic business performance and capability transformation opportunities, plus economic, fiscal, and operational issues.

The Role:

The successful candidates will support Engagement Managers, Client Directors, and Practice Leaders in the following types of tasks:

a) Engagement Project Management Office (PMO) support, including, but not limited to:
•Monitoring, directing, managing, and coordinating daily engagement/project activities, schedules, progress tracking, issue resolution across all work streams to ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget delivery against client contracts, work plans and schedules
•Establishing, monitoring and maintaining
deliverable quality standards and associated engagement quality plans
engagement/project issues, risks and associated engagement risk management plans
stakeholder relationships, communication, issue resolution, and associated stakeholder management and communication plans
•Applying project management best practices aimed at project-related work product quality, schedule, and risk

b) Policy, process and procedure analysis, design, optimization, and implementation, including:
•Identification, definition, analysis, and optimization and implementation of business processes and procedures, applying
Lean process design principles
Statistical process control principles
•Interview with related stakeholders
•Identify, analyze and design and implementation of new processes and procedures

c)Analysis of industry, company, business unit, project, and process economics
•Define, review and analyze asset and income statements
•Define, review and analyze business, project and process-related cash flows, inventories, and economics

d)Practice development, client development, and development, including, but not limited to
•Industry, client, functional and technical research using both public, proprietary, and subscription resources
•Proposal development and preparation
•Marketing and collateral development
The Candidate:

Candidates will be required to have strengths in the following skills, qualifications, and characteristics:
•Oral and written communications, including business writing, technical writing, and business presentations
•Quantitative business, activity, and process economic and statistical analysis
•Basic process and workflow diagramming, flowcharting, analysis and optimization (including application of lean process design principles)
•Application of basic statistical process control principles
•Preparation, analysis, and optimization of project activity plans, resource plans, schedules, and dependencies, constraints, and critical path
•Initiative, resourcefulness, and continuous in-situ/on-the-job learning, and work ethic
•Interest in, and willingness to, travel, internationally
•Adaptiveness and flexibility to accommodate normal consulting-related uncertainties and variabilities in work location, conditions
•Cultural awareness and sensitivity
•Fluent English
•Educated to degree level or higher, ideally including Engineering / Economics / Statistics / Finance, or related fields
•Prior experience in consulting/analysis, ideally Energy.

The ideal candidate will also have skills, qualifications, and/or experience in one or more of the following highly desireable areas:
•Quantitative economic and/or fiscal modeling and simulation
•Graphics and media design

International business consulting, by its nature, typically involves significant (weekly) travel when projects are based overseas.
