Contract Manager - Residential - Amazing Opportunity

Location: Cardiff, South Wales

Are you a Contracts Manager looking for your next challenge? Wanting to get your teeth stuff into an expanding region? Do you want to play your part in the future? Wanting to work for a leading housing contractor?


* To implement and comply with the Companies SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice within the area
* To achieve the planned gross margin for assigned projects and to contribute to the achievement of the area's budgeted gross margin and profit
* To financially manage (revenue, costs and cash flow) the projects
* To lead, manage and motivate the area project staff and to establish its full commercial contribution to the organisation and specifically to ensure the relationships between the project and surveying functions are collaborative
* To ensure the area has the required operational capacity, capability and competency of staff
* To develop an organisational culture within projects that embodies the values of the Company
* To manage the operational relationships with customers, contractors and subcontractors on projects
* To establish and maintain the best relationship with the client, through and beyond construction, to satisfactory completion, and to deliver improved value to the client and company.


* Full UK driving licence
* Relevant industry qualifications or equivalent UK standard
* Good communicator, verbally and written, and have a good level of computer literacy
* Managing IOSH Certificate
* CSCS Card
* Knowledge of working at height/IPAF/PASMA
* Knowledge of statuary requirements and current legislation
* Recognised apprenticeship, NVQ/HND/Degree or equivalent training programme, qualifications are relevant to skill base, relevant management training

* Well organised, diplomatic, proactive, assertive and well-disciplined
* Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
* A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
