Are you an experienced contract engineer? Looking for a new challenge?

Randstad require an experienced contract engineer for an immediate start in Glasgow. This role will start as on a temporary basis and will go permanent for the ideal candidate.

Main purpose of the role is to identify and develop sustainable business opportunities, design, estimate, plan and manage the delivery of associated work projects. You will provide a consistent workflow and optimise profit contribution to the business and ensure all safety,quality,technical and commercial requirements are met.

Candidates should have electrical knowledge and strong awareness of mechanical/process/gas systems. You should have a proven commercial acumen and be able to demonstrate a knowledge of key projects as well as customer/client base.

Essential requirements



* PTS Competence
* Proven experience in delivering rail projects
* Must be willing to travel
* Completed craft apprenticeship or equivalent
* Must have BTEC level of competence or equivalent
* Excellent management skills
* Proven ability to deliver high profits and deliver projects to programme
* Detailed understanding of technical drawings and specifications
* Ability to balance customer requirements, commercial priorities to deliver workflow and high profit contribution.
* Monitor quality and safety in the workplace
* Experienced in using office packages (word, office, excel, outlook, PowerPoint)
