Control and Instrumentation Technician sought for a nationally recognised recycling firm, operating out of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The site continues to receive substantial investment, offering a stable and continually developing working environment.
The successful controls and instrumentation technician will have had significant experience in a similar role, within a heavy mechanical environment- this could include; recycling, waste to energy, any form of heavy mechanical manufacturing or process environment. Ideally, you will be apprentice trained in a relevant subject. You will be used to working as part of a multi-functional maintenance team, consisting of electrical, mechanical, multi-skilled & controls/instrumentation engineers.
Working as part of a 12+ man engineering / maintenance team, your ultimate responsibility will be to ensure all machinery achieves maximum uptime. You will work in conjunction with other engineering skill sets in order to resolve any instrumentation based faults on site, ideally creating long term solutions. The site has 2 main process lines, each including an array of equipment, some of this includes: overhead cranes (kone), fans, motors, conveyor systems, control valves (SPX), turbines, analyzers, transmitters, many of which are PLC controlled.

Experience working in a control and instrumentation technicians role
Apprentice trained (beneficial) / Qualified in a relevant subject (essential)
Recycling / waste to energy experience beneficial
Working as part of a 12 man engineering team
Both reactive and planned maintenance and repair of process machinery / equipment
Calibration, installation and commissioning work
