Are you looking for a long-term contract position? Do you have experience working as a Cost Clerk in the construction market?

I'm looking for a hard working Cost Clerk to work on a large project in Luton. This role will continue for roughly 2 years and the ideal candidate will be required to have previous experience in this role and ideally worked in the construction sector.

You will be using accounts system so experience using a version of is required.

Responsibilities:



* Inputting of Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and invoice details on to the cost management system.
* Processing invoices by matching purchase requisitions, purchase orders, GRNs and invoices.
* Liaison with suppliers directly in relation to invoice queries in an efficient and polite manner, to resolve invoice queries promptly.
* Providing support where required to the procurement team in raising purchase orders using the cost management system.
* Sending purchase orders to suppliers or service providers where necessary and ensuring the correct purchase order numbers are quoted on invoices.
* Sending purchase orders to other members of the business if requested.
* Responding to queries/issues within the accounts team.
* Processing the weekly/monthly timesheets and ensuring that all issues are resolved and the timesheets are approved and processed on time.
* Provide accurate cost capture and reporting on project spend.
* Ensure correct allocation to schedule of cost codes and ensure provision and maintenance of site premises.
* Effectively liaise with Site Teams making them aware of key project cost information
* Manage and implement accurate cost reporting at key stages during the life of the project (CVRs & CTC reports + weekly cost & Plant reports)
* Liaise with Purchase Ledger department to match invoices with Goods Received Notes Verify lists of all invoices, payments and Goods Received Notes for the contract to finalise the account.
* Ensure site allocation sheets are maintained on projects and the information is up-to-date on allocation of plant, staff and materials.

Candidate requirements:



* Previously worked as a Cost Clerk experience
* Construction industry experience is desirable
* Accounts system knowledge
* Well versed in using MS Office applications such as MS Word and Excel
