job description

Looking for a long term contract? A Cost Clerk will be required to have previous experience in this role and ideally worked in the construction sector. You will be working for a large independently owned construction company who are working on a Rail project in Cambridge.

You will be using accounts system so experience using a version of is required.

Working hours are 08:30 - 17:30

This position is paying £10ph - £15 ph PAYE / £16ph - £18ph LTD

Cost Clerk Responsibilities:

* Provide accurate cost capture and reporting on project spend.
* Provide all documentation that supports applications
* Checking and pre approving invoices for material and plant
* Code all delivery tickets
* Assist Commercial Manager with monthly reporting
* Financial reporting
* Weekly reporting on plant and material schedules
* Cross examine all labour costs against timesheets
* Assist Commercial Manager with monthly reporting
* Cost report Reconciliation
* Visiting various sites
* Ad hoc admin duties

Cost Clerk Requirements:

* Previously worked as a Cost Clerk experience
* Knowledge and Experience of Accounting systems
* Construction industry experience is desirable
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Work to a high standard of accuracy
* Well versed in using MS Office applications such as MS Word and Excel
* Full UK drivers licence and access to own car is essential due to location of role
