Randstad Education are now recruiting cover supervisors to work within secondary schools across Bradford, West Yorkshire due to a rise in demand for the rest of the school year and September onward.
The schools will require the Cover Supervisor to act as cover for the usual class teacher in their absence. You are not expected to deliver or assess lessons as work pre-set for the pupils, your job is to ensure all pupils stay on task and complete the work that has been set.
Our Cover Supervisors require:
At least 6 weeks experience of working in an environment with children or teenagers
A positive, energetic personality
A flexible, adaptable approach
The means to get to local schools for early starts (typically 8:30am starts)
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or happy to apply for a new one
Many forms of non-education based experience are acceptable! Examples include:
Working as a teaching assistant in any school setting
Summer Camp
Art & Drama workshops
Dance/Theatre School
Scouts, guides, Brownies
Sports Coaching
Youth support work
