I am currently recruiting for PE Cover Supervisors to work at this large secondary school based in Lytham St. Annes. This role is ideal who are considering perusing a career in teaching or a sports coaching student or graduate.

Your responsibility will be to deliver pre-set PE lessons for male and female students in the absence of the usual class teacher. You be required to be flexible as if you are not needed at this particular school you will be re-deployed to another school based locally. In detail, when working in as a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for:

* Managing the behaviour of the children and ensuring they are on task
* Delivering pre-set work
* Taking the register at the beginning of the lesson
* Leaving handover notes detailing any progress
* Working with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure effective lesson delivery
* Classroom based cover work dependant on the needs of the school on that day.


* Experience of working with young people in a support capacity.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* An enthusiastic attitude towards working with young people.
* A minimum of 2 references covering a 6 month period in the last 12 months.

This work is initially offered on a day to day basis dependant on the needs of the school but more than often these roles become long term and at times even permanent for the right person.

To be considered for this role you must have recent experience working with young people and be able to provide professional references to support your experience.
