SIMS Data and Assessment Manager, PrestonRandstad Education are recruiting for a Data Manager on behalf of a Preston school.This is a great opportunity to work as part of a committed and supportive operations team. The post holder will be required to produce clear and accurate information to support the schools senior leaders. You will be adept to problem solving and support in strategies leading to school improvement.This post requires an ASAP start, so someone who is immediate available or on short notice would be preferred. This is an ongoing temporary positition, however there is some potential for this to go permanent in the future.The jobResponsible for the planning, development, organisation and monitoring of data management systems and the policies and procedures associated with it.Complete a comprehensive analysis of data collected after each assessment series, both internal and external.Lead a team of staff covering all forms of pupil data, including but not only admissions, assessments, examinations and timetable.The collation, monitoring, reporting and dissemination of all information needed by relevant agencies and submitted in a timely and accurate mannerProduce a range of reports that provide appropriate information for different audiences, e.g. Trustees, SLT, Faculty leads, class teachersBe accountable for the accuracy and punctuality of data inputtingCreate mark sheets that support the production of assessment data/reports across the schoolHave oversight of the School Information Management System (SIMS), including management, maintenance, usage and setup of modules relevant to the post.Ensure that relevant data is transferred to SIMS such as FFT, Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 data, 4MatrixMaintain users and users accountsComplete all statutory data returns, including School Census, School Workforce Census and Teacher Assessments for all key stagesAdminister the schools Assessment, Recording and Reporting procedures.Work in support of the schools timetabling specialists in the build of the annual teaching staffing timetable.Implement regular amendments in the NOVA T6 timetabling Software and ensuring accuracy in SIMS via SQLAttend and participate in SLT Meetings and Duties as requested by SLTThe skillsSubstantial experience of working in a school environment.Recent experience of the school data system SIMS including Assessment ManagerAbility to interrogate and analyse data.Ability to work with a range of professionals including external and internal partners.An ability to train other staff and deliver clear instructions to support their role with data.A commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.An ability to keep accurate and precise records.As a LASBM Approved Partner, we are proud to support a diverse portfolio of schools across Lancashire, so even if this job or location is not suitable, we would still like to hear from you regarding your relevant experience, as we may have other roles available in schools, which may be a better match.All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education's child protection and UK eligibility checks.
