A UK leading Property Management company is looking for an individual with credit control experience, to join their team of experts in Croydon as a full-time, permanent Credit Controller. Extremely close to public transport, their modern office is well known for its fantastic working environment and outstanding employee support.
Are you a financial enthusiast with experience in credit control or personal debt? Are you confident in helping to maintain financial control of our client's property portfolio through recovery of owed money? You will be responsible for liaising with the Property and Estate Managers in ensuring the highest possible standard is provided at all times to clients, through the timely issuing of demands for Service Charges/Ground Rents as per the lease terms.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Credit Control/Debt recovery and Administrative experience preferred
* Experience within the property industry
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time efficiently
* Strong numerical skills
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Issuing Demands for Service Charges/Ground Rents as per the lease terms
Reminders
-Responsible for issuing all reminders on a timely basis.
-Reviewing and updating arrears tracking system on PMS
- Sending out first reminders
- Reviewing notes and other records on PMS when final reminders are due
- Liaising with property managers and sending out final reminders as instructed which may involve visiting other offices.
- Monitoring standing orders/direct debits and payment agreements
- Raising and billing all fees
Reporting
-Cyclical reporting on the status of the portfolio
Referrals for further action
-Liaising with Estate managers with regard to further action on accounts
-Forwarding accounts to Debt collection with appropriate paperwork
-Raising and billing fees
Other duties
- Answering and responding to queries by telephone/email/letter
- Noting accounts
- Filing
Ground Rent Reporting
- Reconciliation of the Ground Rent and generating reports
- Create Vouchers for accounting transactions
- Transfers between bank accounts
- Raising cheques
- Liaising with the Freeholder
- Responding to any Ground Rent queries
- Updating the system with details following Lease Extension & Deed of Variations
- Read the Lease and locate the information regarding Ground Rent
- Calculate new Ground Rent charge due to Rent Review
- Chase any Ground Rent outstanding
- Good use of Excel and good accounting skills required.
