I am currently recruiting for a customer liaison officer role in central Winchester. This is a full time temporary role, working Monday to Thursday 08.30 to 17.00 and Fridays 08.30-16.30.

As a customer liaison officer, you will be providing a support service to customers as well as supporting the department. Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:
*Giving timely and accurate responses to any queries or complaints
*Ensuring letters and phone calls are responded to and all information is recorded on the in-house system
*Composing letters
*Updating the database with any files or new information
*Providing administration support for the department
*Dealing with Freedom of Information requests
*Other duties as required

Key skills and experience required;
*Good IT skills
*Able to record accurate information whilst having a conversation with the customer
*Minimum of 1 to 2 years of working in customer service or administration role
*Experience of using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers through any contact channel
*Able to gain information from customers to ensure enquiries are dealt with appropriately and to provide clear, confident explanations to customers and colleagues
*Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and written
*Experience within a planning department would be an advantage, but is not essential
