We are currently recruiting for a Sales Office Manager for an established company in Coleshill, near Birmingham.

You will be working directly underneath the Sales Director, who is in and out of the office and is often travelling, and be directly responsible for 5 people, with another 3 in the team.

We are looking for a strong willed character, with lots of energy and enthusiasm for management and the role. You will be running the sales office a lot of the time on your own, so must be confident with implementing new ideas and liaising really closely with other areas of the company.

Your responsibilities:



* Define, develop & implement sales & customer services, policies and procedures
* Oversee the achievement and maintenance of agreed sales & customer service standards
* Ensure the necessary resources & tools are available for quality sales & customer service delivery
* Track & review customer complaints and resolution
* Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability
* Provide critical leadership and exhibit teamwork with internal stakeholders to deliver efficient sales & customer service journey
* Work with the team to build and maintain strong client relationships
* To lead and motivate the sales administration team to ensure pre and post sales activities are run smoothly and effectively
* Provide support for marketing and telemarketing programmes as necessary such as Direct Mailing and outbound calls. Report on same.
* Organise and motivate staff to deliver the highest standards of customer service
* Administer customer rebates and maintain a confidential "terms" database
* Produce reports and statistical information for customers, company directors and external sales team
* Be actively involved in staff recruitment and appraisals
* Hold monthly team 1-2-1 reviews
* Hold regular 6 monthly individual reviews
* Provide administrative support for the Sales and Marketing Director
* Manage, communicate and report on the Quotation log

Your Skills/ Experience



* A minimum of 5 years experience in a management role
* Ability to build rapport with customers
* Knowledge of customer service principles
* Experience of proactive account management
* Knowledge of Export Practises
* Ability to motivate a team
* Ability to work on own initiative and take ownership of own workload and the team
* Ability to prioritise own workload and manage own time commitments
* Ability to organise and distribute workloads within the team
* Ability to show initiative in progression of self, team and Company
* Willingness to go the 'extra mile'
* Flexibility
* Attention to detail
