Delivery Engineer - 6 month role - Nights
Delivery engineer required to loin a leading rail and civil engineering contractor working on a track maintenance project.
As a delivery engineer you will actively plan the Permanent Way (plain line and junctionwork) and Drainage renewals on site. Works will include: engineering preparation, logistical planning, setting out and site delivery. You will need to deliver the project within the project scope, plans and budget.
This is a freelance position for 6 months.
Working nights - 10 hours shifts
Rate is £300-£350 a day (paying through umbrella company) as the role is inside IR35.
Candidate expectations
Minimum HND/ONC or Degree equivalentProficient in reading and interpreting design drawings and supporting informationVery knowledge of P-Way design, drainage design, 3D surveying and setting outExperience in project planning and resource management Knowledge of ISO quality systemsBTAPTS - useful but not essential Proficient in the use of surveying and gauging equipmentCAT scanning experience Literate using 3D control software (e.g. Trimble Business Centre) & Tamping softwareLevel 2 or 3 stressingPractical tamping and dozer and machine control
