Contract Length: 1 YearIR35 Determination: InsideThe Brief:A rare opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced asbestos specialist to join an in-house asbestos team at a world renowned Life Sciences organisation.The primary duties for this role will to be responsible for a portfolio of small works packages (usually up to £20,000 - £30,000 in value) and some capital works projects (up to £250,000) which require some form of asbestos management and usually non-licenced remediation. The portfolio of property currently requires an annual spend of more than £400m in operating costs and £100m+ in capital investment.Specific duties will include: Permit issuer for remediation projects in all sites (including nights and weekends) (majority 80% of works normal working hours)Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact for the sites under your remitRegular liaison with the rest of the asbestos team, Duty Holder, Leadership team and all engineers etcManage the Asbestos Management Plans at sitesManagement Monitoring for service partners (auditing of contactors and engineers etc)Potential be named and act as Responsible Person for sites.About You:You will be an experienced and skilled Asbestos professional who has either local authority, public sector or consultancy experienceYou MUST have the P405 qualification as a minimumA candidate with the S301, CCP or W504 qualifications would be advantageousYou must be available for an imminent start and be able to commit to the full 1 year contract term Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
