job description

Document Control / Admin - 4Projects - Long Term contract

As a document controller you will be based on site as the sole document controller / administrator supporting a small project team of about 6 people. You will report directly to the Project Manager on site.

You will be working for a sub contractor who specialise in demolition projects. You will be based on their flagship project in Central London. The scope of work included demolition of a large number of buildings in the surrounding area.

This role will be for 6 months however is likely to be extended for the duration of the project which could be up to 2 years in length.

You will be based on site, walking distance from several tube and overground stations.


Hours are 8am to 5pm (however they are flexible to start at 830/9am if needed)


As a document controller you will be responsible for uploading and downloading all documents, maintaining the electronic filing. You will be using 4projects/Viewpoint. You will assist with managing a backlog of documents and drawings and maintaining new documents too. Admin duties will be required occasionally e.g. ordering stationery and equipment etc if needed.

It is essential for candidates to have previous document control experience. You must be a proactive individual and be able to control the project team to ensure documents are sent and received within the deadlines outlined.
