Nursery Nurse

A nursery within the Castleton area are looking to take on qualified Nursery Nurse & unqualified nursery assistants as soon as possible to join their enthusiastic and growing team.

Children are cared for by an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced team of childcare practitioners who plan learning experiences to meet the needs of each individual child in our care. Our team is committed to creating an atmosphere of care, respect, learning and fun.
Our nursery is located in a fabulous church conversion in a quiet residential street in Castleton. Nursery rooms have been expertly renovated and resourced to create light and spacious learning environments for different age groups. We also have a wonderful outdoor play area for children to enjoy fresh air during learning and play.

The nursery operates from 7:00- 6:00, Monday-Friday, 51 weeks a year.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Supervising young children throughout the day to ensure safeguarding is fulfilled appropriately
* Helping with meal times, feeding and cleaning the children to promote a high standard of hygiene within the nursery
* Creating and running different activities for the children to follow according to the EYFS framework
* Using your initiative to create a fun, safe and educational environment for the children in the nursery
* Working successfully within an inclusive team to provide high quality childcare
* Changing nappies and helping with potty training
* Creating a positive and encouraging environment for the children during their early life development
* Ensure profiles and observations are completed to a high standard and in line with the EYFS Framework

If you believe you would be able to provide great childcare to the children then please read below to see what requirements the candidate must fill:

* Have a DBS on Update or the willingness to complete a new one
* Must have experience working with children within the last 5 years in a professional environment
* Have a CACHE level 3 certificate or equivalent- for qualified position
* Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and how to apply it in a nursery environment
* Must have excellent knowledge of safeguarding and it's importance when working with young and vulnerable children
