Nursery Deputy Manager

A setting in Altrincham is looking to add an experienced deputy manager to their existing early years team, the right candidate will be named as the suitable person in charge of the nursery and will be responsible for the complete overview of the nursery in the absence of the manager.
The nursery is rated OFSTED "good" and prides itself on activities and extras it provides within the nursery. It operates for 51 weeks a year and offers childcare from 7.00am-6.00pm Monday - Friday. Some of the additional classes and activities the nursery includes are yoga, French classes, little legends football and interactive smartboard lessons. The nursery is fully inclusive and also is proud to be an eco school. The nursery is easily accessible via car, tram and buses, and is in a beautiful scenic area.

Responsibilities:
* Supporting the nursery manager on the day to day running of the setting
* Monitoring health and safety policies and procedures
* Recruiting suitable people who are able to continue outstanding practice within the setting
* Ensure that staff are trained on the EYFS and Safeguarding
* Promote continuous practice of partnerships with parents
* Promoting the EYFS and learning goals within the nursery
* Ensuring learning journeys and trackers are up to date
* Performing supervision meetings with staff members
* Dealing with complaints or issues within the setting
* Liaising with outside agencies when needed


Requirements
* Minimum of level 3 childcare qualification
* Leadership experience
* Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
* First Aid
* Confident in communicating with parents, staff and children

This is a full time role which will consist of 50% room based work and 50% office based work. 40 hours a week full time contract. If your application is successful then this will result in a face to face interview in Manchester followed by an onsite interview.
All candidates need to hold a valid DBS check, be a minimum of level 3 qualification in childcare and have a passion for working within the Early Years. Leadership experience is preferable but not essential and the nursery has an excellent training programmer where they continually invest in their staff throughout their working contract. You will also need to provide adequate references to support your application. The nursery prides itself on thriving for excellence and for having excellent relationships with parents.
