Are you an Ecologist looking to work on HS2?

Our client, one of the main JV's on HS2 enabling works has a great opportunity in the Birmingham area for an experienced Ecologist.

Description of Activities to be undertaken



* To provide ecological support to our clients team and have responsibilities:
* Technical lead for Area Wide Surveys
* Co-ordination and review of survey data
* Ecological surveys, Environmental surveys, Other surveys as required
* Assisting with Area Wide Environmental team other Work Packages
* To fulfil the role of Ecological Specialist and provide assurance and ensure compliance with relevant Technical Standard and licence requirements.
* Provide ecological support and input as required
* Coordinate ecological mitigation and completion of licence applications.

Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role

Essential:



* Ecologist with experience of working on design and construction phases of large-scale linear infrastructure projects.
* Experience of working with subcontractors and teams of ecologists
* Experience in the planning process and dealing with local authorities
* License application experience
* Experience of implementing ecological mitigation
* Experience of complicated ecological survey and mitigation schemes

Desirable:



* Experience in No Net Loss of Biodiversity calculation/reporting
* Protected species licences
* Senior Ecologist
