Are you a skilled Electrical fitter looking for your next challenge? Are you keen to work for a market leader and become a valuable team member?

We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Mechanical fitter based in South Bristol starting at the beginning of February 2019 for an 8 week assignment.

Pay Rate:

* £12.00- £15.00 PER HOUR


This role offers flexi-time between:

* 07:00AM - 18:00PM

Core hours are 09.30AM to 15:30PM


This role will involve the assembly and wiring of parts on a variety of products and you will also be working closely with colleagues throughout the business to achieve high quality end results.

* Follow all department procedures
* Assemble parts to the required specification including:

* Sub-assemblies
* Machine build
* Machine panel build
* Wiring of machines

* Wire panels to electrical circuit diagrams
* Fitting electrical components to machines from circuit diagrams
* Understand parts lists and relate back to circuit diagrams
* Adapt and modify as required
* Liaise with Design Engineers, Assembly Fitters
* Power up and test equipment machinery including fault finding

* Complete any quality documentation required for the tasks
* Identify problems with assemblies / parts and raise any quality issues following the company procedures
* Operate handling equipment and machinery when trained to do so
* Support the sustainment and improvement of housekeeping and health and safety practices
* Support in the implementation and sustainment of 5S standards


* Able to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials
* Ability to understand electrical design assembly
* 17th edition or relevant qualification to be able to work on live electrics
* Previous electrical assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment
* Experience of assembling large fabricated parts to engineering drawings
* Good dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and electrical components
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Good numeracy
* Computer literate


* Counterbalance forklift license
* Lean manufacturing knowledge
