Electrical Engineer needed in DERBY DE24

3 months Temp to Perm

Lots of overtime available if wanted

A role has become available on a prestigious contract for an electrical engineer. The successful candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase).

The successful engineer will be site based, covering one very large site in Derby. The role is a for a shift engineer, working primarily days, but must be flexible in response to business need. The main responsibilities will include effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, especially emergency lighting (including stock control), through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner. There may be some requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised.

The candidate will be working as part of a wider engineering team and so there may be a requirement for them to pick up other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.

Candidate must:-

* Possess good communication skills and be a team player
* Have experience of PPM and reactive maintenance
* Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working on electrical systems
* Have the ability to manage their time effectively
* Have a flexible approach to working
* Be proactive

Qualifications or Required Experience:

* 17th Edition Test & Inspection
* City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent
* Knowledge and experience of building services, with an electrical bias
* Be flexible and reliable
* Ability to act on own initiative
* Full Clean Driving licence
* Ability to work with different people
* Be practical and demonstrate good common sense
