Electrical Integration Engineer required on a permanent basis to join an industry leading engineering business.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of automotive technology? Do you have a background strategically controlling the design and integration of electrical components and systems? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced R&D / Engineering environment? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the role for you!

As the Electrical Integration Engineer you will be responsible to integrate customer, proprietary and bespoke electrical systems and components to achieve vehicle targets. Working through the Design Group, and reporting into a wide range of projects, the successful individual will have a good understanding of engineering and be able to adapt to electrical systems as projects dictate and assist in the operation of the department.

You will be responsible for undertaking and guiding a range of electrical integration projects from initial concepts through to volume production. Work closely with a range of customers from SMB's to major OEM's to interpret their requirements and deliver engineered solutions within weight, cost and timing targets.

Key responsibilities:



* Through appropriately considered and documented processes, development of system architecture proposals and definitions
* Analysis and specification of system requirements including the communication, functional and physical elements of the system.
* Management of suppliers delivering components or system to a project.
* Supervision and development of junior team members.
* Delivery of EDS schematic and physical designs.
* Assist with the build and fault-finding of projects
* Design and development of electrical and electronic systems for vehicle programme applications.
* Generate system architecture diagrams and circuit drawings to support electrical design activity.
* Ensure that the Electrical design adheres to low voltage, high voltage, high current and EMC best practices.
* Consider the use of alternative materials and technologies in pursuit of the optimal design for cost, weight and performance.
* Undertake hazard analysis, risk management and DFMEA for components and systems as required.
* Define and execute system test and validation activities.
* Support virtual and physical builds for components and vehicles.
* Preparation and presentation of reports for internal and external audiences.
* Support technical and project reviews with the customer, representing the company, as required.
* Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and all other departments
* Understand and work to Company, Customer, Industry and Legislative standards.

Essential



* Recent experience and proven track record in electrical integration within the automotive or autosport industries.
* Degree in relevant engineering discipline or proven progressive experience in a similar role.
* Working knowledge of Vector tools including CANalyser
* The ability to work flexibly to strict deadlines
