Our client a leader in the field of Steel producing and manufacturing are on the look out for multiple mechanical and electrical engineers - with experience in working on plc programming, HD plasma, press blanking or laser welding etc...

We are currently looking to recruit a number of Mechanical and also Electrical Engineers to effectively maintain all process and auxiliary equipment within the business units with an aim to improving up time while reducing costs. Within these roles, the incumbents will also provide practical and technical support within their area of expertise by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of plant and process improvements.

We are looking for effective engineers with demonstrable experience in Service Centre or manufacturing activities. You should have completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship and possess an accredited vocational qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds) or time served. We are looking for individuals with demonstrable experience of a relevant engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques and dealing with contractors. Demonstrable experience of a relevant engineering discipline, knowledge of basic electrical installations and single and three-phase fault-finding and repair. Or, alternatively be capable mechanically fault finding, stripping and reassembling component parts and basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

We require applicants to have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.

The successful candidates will initially be expected to work a 24/7 shift rotational pattern, attracting a 30% shift allowance premium.

Salary is dependant on experience and skill set.
