Would you like to make a difference to young people's lives? Emotionally supporting them with ADHD, Autism and Aspergers. My name is Katy and I am looking for someone who is able to use their hobbies to motivate and inspire.

Working in a beautiful countryside residential school, your role will be to provide guidance and support through the use of activities to stimulate and engage children and young people.

Job Purpose -
* Interact and care for children between the ages of 9-19 on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis
* Encouraging them to engage and enjoy activities specifically designed to suit their needs
* Staff are encouraged to set up activities for the children using their own hobbies
* Be a consistent and caring role model
* Spend time listening to the young people
* Supporting children to manage their behaviour using proven techniques
* Using skills and approved approaches learnt during training provided
* Report writing and hand overs
* No hands on personal care is required

Experience -
* Life experience or work experience with young people preferred
* Understanding of challenging behaviour
* Must be able to work full time for half day shifts or waking nights
* Must have a can do, positive attitude
* Must be a driver due to rural location of school
* Excellent communication skills required
