Environmental Technician | London / South East | £30,000 + Package

Are you an experienced Environmental technician? Have you completed a P402 course? Would you like to work client side?

I am currently recruiting for an Environmental Technician to work on a mobile basis across London / South East as part of the HSE team carrying out relevant building surveys and inspections to identify hazardous environments ie asbestos / materials and etc.


* Up to £30,000 basic salary
* Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

* MUST have completed P402 course


* Undertaking relevant building surveys and inspections to identify risks from hazardous working environments, including asbestos materials, and determining appropriate and effective controls to manage any such risks.
* Undertake air quality monitoring to assess the risks from airborne contaminants, including asbestos, and provide clearance certification in accordance with UKAS standards, where applicable.
* Promotion of good HSE and asbestos safety practice to stakeholders and helping to establish a positive safety culture, and supporting the development of improvements in HSE performance.
* Supporting the effective maintenance of relevant databases and information systems.
* Engagement with regional operational management teams and safety champions, to promote positive HSE values and jointly develop initiatives for the continuous improvement of safety performance.
* Providing technical advice and support to colleagues on maintaining compliance with asbestos and hazardous environments and other safety requirements.
* Establishing and maintaining links with key external agencies and peer organisations to keep up to date with leading practice in asbestos management methodologies.
* Promotion and delivery of consultancy services to our clients.
* Is responsible for completion of survey and inspections in line with company requirements and programmes, and determining risks of hazards identified during these.
* Is responsible for undertaking air monitoring measurement and analysis to ensure that working environments are maintained in accordance with legal requirements.
