A public sector organisation are recruiting a project manager for a large estate in County Durham. This is a role that has an excellent package and represents a great opportunity for career development.

Your Package

* £35,000 - £43,000
* 42 days holiday (including public holidays)
* 18% pension contributions
* 35 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

* Manage the delivery (via main contractors) of a range of projects, from minor refurbishment to multi-million pound construction projects
* Ensure compliance at all stages of the project with various internal and external policies
* Manage building and refurbishment projects from inception to completion
* Implement the estate strategy
* Report into the Director of Estates
* Carry out feasibility studies for projects
* Prepare and develop design briefs
* Procure main contractors for project delivery
* Undertake surveys of areas of the estate, developing a lifecycle plan for all buildings

Your Skills & Qualifications

* HNC/D , degree, or significant relevant experience in a construction and building-related discipline
* Experience of working with main contractors and building consultants
* Excellent stakeholder management
* Knowledge of CDM and building regulations
* Ability to operate AutoCAD
* Working knowledge of incorporating complex building services and control systems into projects
* Experience of delivering building refurbishment projects within the public sector is desired but not essential
