A Main Contractor who specialises in Educational, Commercial, Residential and Heritage work. As a well recognised company, they consistently deliver quality projects and therefore have a requirement to expand their team and hire an Estimator. With extensive knowledge of the construction industry, they are continuously working with clients and professional teams to ensure they receive the best value for money.
As an Estimator on this project, you will be based in Head Office in central Kent and be responsible for supporting the commercial input - reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager. You will be responsible for delivering high level estimating services in order to maximise their tender services, to generate new business opportunities in line with the Business Plan.
What will you be doing?Estimating the costs of projects in order to meet the client's requirementsFocusing on minimising risks and maximising gross profitsResponding to tenders & pricing workObtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materialsPricing and organising materialsFeasibility studies
What you'll need:Previous Estimator experience working for a main contractorProven experience within the residential sector Educated to Degree level, or equivalentStrong time management and organisation skillsAble to present information in a logical mannerExperience working under pressure and to tight deadlinesConfident working closely with Pre-Construction Managers
