Role Purpose Working within the payroll team assist in providing a customer focused, fully integrated and compliant payroll service to a workforce of approximately 1000 employees. Principal Accountabilities To assist with providing first line advice and support to managers and employees on HR and Payroll matters including pay, taxation, National Insurance, policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment ensuring compliance with organisational guidelines, statutory, contractual and legal responsibilities. To assist with the validation, input, calculation and recording of all monthly payroll data, including timesheet and expense claim forms, into the MHR iTrent HR Information System in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations and to pre-defined timescales. To assist with the processing and monitoring of all employee changes including starters, secondments, transfers, leavers and other amendments to salaries and employee data to ensure compliance with organisational requirements. To assist with the input, calculation and recording of all statutory and occupational payments, for example sickness, maternity, adoption and paternity in accordance with Making Space's policy and statutory requirements. To assist with processing documentation in line with HM Revenue and Customs requirements, including forms P45, Starter Checklist and to provide assistance with end of year payroll procedures. To assist with the administration of the pension schemes operated by Making Space. To assist with the preparation of pay related information for external agencies, for example, Local Authorities, Courts, Government Agencies, mortgage references etc. Provide a comprehensive filing and administration system within HR & Payroll To effectively and efficiently calculate, maintain and ensure the accuracy of HR and Payroll records.
