Requirements:Liaise with attending consultants concerning resident care and treatment and ensure that instructions are carried out.Ensure safe practice is adhered to in the storage, preparation, administration and documentation of all medications. Ensures that controlled drugs and controlled drug records are maintained in accordance with legal and professional standards.Act as infection control liaison for the Nursing Home.Mentor, support, co-ordinate and manage the training and professional development of team members.Assist in Nursing quality audits and quality improvement measures.Ensure the Nursing Home policies, procedures and guidelines are known, understood and implemented by the staff in Nursing Home.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Knowledge and AttributesRegistered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.Have at least three years recent relevant post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time).Minimum of three years nursing experience.Recognised post-registration nursing course - Higher Diploma or Postgraduate course.Up-to-date Basic Cardiac Life Support.Proven clinical and professional management ability including risk management and clinical audit.Good IT skills
