Building Fabric Technician required to join a Top 10 UK Facilities Maintenance provider on a static site in Leicester.

Hours of Work: Varied from 7am until 5pm

Job Purpose: To support the account in the completion of a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Principal Accountabilities:

Support the Building Fabric Manager in the completion of a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities in accordance with site and company rules, procedures and Safe Systems of Work. These activities include but are not limited to the following:

General Maintenance:

* To carry out maintenance PPM and repairs to building service infrastructure within agreed service levels to the very highest standards.
* Participate in upkeep of records for PPM and repair to all site buildings and in the efficient organisation of the planned preventative maintenance system and site asset registers.
* To be able to work within a Permit to Work system and adhere to Company Safe Systems of Works, compliance requirements and Company Code of Conduct.
* To support the team in housekeeping and general cleanliness of building services plant and work areas.
* To carry out any reasonable request to perform duties, which are normal custom and practice in a manufacturing related environment.
* Ensure that spares and materials are used in a cost-effective manner.
* Take responsibility for your own workload and where possible ensure that the target times for each task's priority are met.
* Maintain excellent customer communication to achieve their high expectations.
* Manage your own workload and work efficiently.

Person Specification:

* Excellent customer service
* Good temperament, polite and courteous
* Able to cope under pressure
* Articulate and able to communicate with colleagues and customers at all levels
* Smart, presentable appearance
* Adaptable and flexible approach

Other factors:

* The candidate must hold and maintain a full driving licence
* A flexible approach to working hours is required due to the nature of the site operations.
* This individual on occasions may be required to attend site in emergency situations.
* Accurately record all activity undertaken on a work task / netbooks / task sheets.
* Complete scheduled tasks as planned, safely, within budget and on time.
* Complete reactive/emergency works as per agreed timescales and KPIs.

* General handyman skills

Salary: £23,000.00 /year
