Are you looking for a new role as a FEU Fleet Technician? Do you want to work for a leading British car manufacturer? If the answer is yes, this role is for you!

The Technician will be supporting the FEU/NMO Fleet operations and will be expected to liaise with internal customers at all levels to interpret fault conditions for accurate and timely diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

With reference to work planning sheets / engineering work sheets and supervisor's instructions:



* To seek and repair electrical and mechanical faults on the vehicle (which may also involve removal and re-fitting of interior/exterior trim.)
* Ability to use diagnostic equipment for re-testing and verification process.
* Read and interpret diagnostic equipment output to minimise rework time/costs.
* Recording & Reporting of faults back through to relevant areas of production / engineering.
* Carry out safety checks, servicing & maintenance to vehicles.
* Manufacture /sub-assembly of relevant components from drawings.
* Work and support FEU activities on and off site as required.
* Carry out RIS updates as required.
* Carry out Warranty work on vehicles as required.
* Identify, by means of ECMS any improvements to or mismatches of parts or operations that will assist in both product and / or process quality improvements.
* Be able to check vehicle specifications conform to build requirement / customer options using the relevant documentation.
* Storage of controlled substances / components safely in correct location(s).

Experience & Qualifications:



* A full automotive apprenticeship (or equivalent) and have relevant automotive experience.
* Specialized knowledge of auto electrics, harness manufacture, and electronic module experience (diagnostics) is necessary.
* The ability to read, interpret and work to engineering circuit drawings /process sheets is essential
* In addition to the above the candidate should have good communication skills and be fully computer literate
* The successful applicant must be able to work on his/her own initiative and cooperate under varied workloads.
