Finance Analyst Barking 28K-35K

Purpose of role

The Finance Analyst is responsible for delivering professional, timely and accurate financial reporting & forecasting, for a range of business units within Bouygues E&S. This is a broad role, which encompasses financial management, contractual support and risk management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Performance reporting and FP&A

* Take responsibility for the production and management of timely/accurate/compliant monthly financial results (P&L and balance sheet), for each of the service lines within your scope. Manage the forecasting exercises (budget and re-forecasts) and risk analysis. Monitor, track and analyse the operational expenses in the month and recommend efficiencies where possible.
* To produce elements and compile from sources the month-end reporting Gestion pack, for company and group level consumption.
* Presentation of meaningful trends and variance analysis to enable your customers to make informed decisions. Provision of internal and statutory audit justifications as required.

Transactional performance

* The production and analysis of indicators based on all business areas, such as invoicing, debt, personnel, purchasing, allocations and stock control, and notify managers of trends.
* Conducting commercial reviews at contract level with relevant budget holders to review the key financial indicators and adherence to company procedures, including the distribution of minutes and action points.


* Preparation of the monthly core service fee invoice and other invoices based on contractual information and operational records on non-core activity.
* Monitoring and chasing of debt with clients with a view to optimising cash flows in accordance with contractual arrangements. Assisting in the review and production of financial information produced for client consumption.


* Leading, with input from relevant budget holders, the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the contract(s).

Contractual support & business development

* The preparation and review of the pricing of variation quotations prepared for the client. Driving initiatives for income maximisation and economies in cost.
* Reviewing the contract for general auditing of financial and non-financial obligations as well as for responding to commercial queries from the budget holders.
* To attend client meetings when relevant and required.


* Liaise with other relevant departments and/or contracts. Progress projects and conduct audits when required.
* To comply with Company Policies, Management Plans and Procedures.
* To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy Statement and Health & Safety Management Plans.
