I am URGENTLY looking for a School Finance Officer to undertake specific finance support responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective use of schools budget. The successful candidate will have a strong financial understanding and ideally have previous experience within the same role however training on some systems will be provided.

This is a full-time role (8am-16.00pm however these can be flexible) with the possibility to apply for a temporary contract when the post goes live.


Responsibilities of the role will include
Undertake a range of financial procedures including placing orders, invoicing, preparation of cheques, banking cash, issuing receipts and dealing with supplier issues.

Monitor monthly budgets and advise staff on variances.

Produce a range of financial data and reports where directed.

Receive and record monies from pupils/parents/carers.

Assist where directed to undertake reconciliations.

Resolve financial queries.


Requirements
Finance and Excel experience essential.
Enhanced DBS on the update service.

Previous school (systems) experience.
