We are currently recruiting for a Finishing Manager. Are you looking for a new contract in Buckinghamshire?

* Location: Milton Keynes
* Contract type: Freelance
* Start date: ASAP
* Duration: 6 months
* Salary/Rate: £220 - £250 per day (dependant upon experience)

The Company

A regional main contractor with a strong presence in the South East and a healthy order book for 2019.

The Project

A large new build residential/commercial project, with 200 residential units and a range of commercial facilities including a restaurant, office space and shops.

The Role

Reporting in to a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the final quality of the internal finishes prior to handover your role will include but not be limited to:

* Manage subcontractors quality and ensure sections are defect free prior final inspection.
* Coordinate directly employed trades to complete snags and keep a detailed report of work carried out and completed.
* Order any required materials and plant via the office to ensure works can be completed in a timely fashion.
* Promote health & safety and safe methods of working.
* Provide regular progress updates to the Senior Site Manager.

About You

* You will have gained circa 5+ years experience, working with a main contractor on commercial builds
* Have the correct CITB qualifications for the position including CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid
* Be able to control multiple subcontractor packages and direct labour.
* Strong organisational skills with proven time management skills.
